Baldur’s Gate 3 is almost ready, and if you plan to plunge into an expansive role -playing game, but are not sure whether it is worth choosing an original character or creating your own, founder Larian Studios and creative leader of the game Sven Vincke, there are some advice for you.
"I would always choose a user character and open my companions", – told Winka in an interview with Dropped Frames. "I think that origin is better manifested when you replay the game".
The freedom of creating a character to your liking is attractive in any role -playing game, but it can go to the detriment of a deeper narrative. Fortunately, in Baldur’s Gate 3, this is not so, since user characters have their own dialogue options and a unique story based on your choice.
At the same time, Vinka also notes that at the beginning of the game you can choose the original character. "There is nothing wrong with choosing an original character", – He explains. "Just. The whole system of origin is where you put the camera. In whose head you put the camera?"
He adds: "If you play the three of them and play together, you will spend the time well, [but] you can be in competing situations when your interests do not coincide with the specialization of each other, forming your origin, which works very fun and well. But you will find out all this yourself very soon".
It is important to note that there is one option that Vinka does not advise choosing for the first acquaintance: The Dark Urge. Unlike other origin, it is fully customous, although suffering from gloomy thoughts that encourage him to commit acts of violence and cruelty. "No matter how unpleasant it is to say this, but I would not recommend it to those who play for the first time", – Says Vinka.
"Because you will receive different versions of the plot, and there will be many events in which you could get something completely different if not for Dark Urge".
